Subcritical hybrid inflation in a generalized superconformal model

چکیده
We study a generalized superconformal model that gives rise to subcritical regime of $D$-term hybrid inflation. Exhibiting the both in Jordan frame and Einstein frame, effective potential is derived frame. It turns out inflaton-waterfall field dynamics leads various types inflaton potential. Consequently tensor-to-scalar ratio found range from $10^{-4}$ ($10^{-3}$) $0.1$ for getting 60 (50) $e$-folds before end

Grand Unification and Subcritical Hybrid Inflation
We consider hybrid inflation for small couplings of the inflaton to matter such that the critical value of the inflaton field exceeds the Planck mass. It has recently been shown that inflation then continues at subcritical inflaton field values where quantum fluctuations generate an effective inflaton mass. The effective inflaton potential interpolates between a quadratic potential at small fie...
متن کاملDante’s Waterfall: A Hybrid Model of Inflation
Given recent observational results from the BICEP2 and Planck collaborations regarding the ratio of power in tensor to scalar modes in the cosmic microwave background radiation, and the implications of this ratio for the possible existence of large gravity waves resulting from inflation, it is of current interest to investigate models of inflation which are capable of producing large gravity wa...
متن کامل0 N = 2 Supersymmetry in a Hybrid Inflation Model
The slow roll inflation requires an extremely flat inflaton potential. The supersymmetry (SUSY) is not only motivated from the gauge hierarchy problem, but also from stabilizing that flatness of the inflaton potential against radiative corrections. However, it has been known that the Planck suppressed higher order terms in the Kähler potential receive large radiative corrections loosing the req...
متن کاملAsymmetric Behavior of Inflation in Iran: New Evidence on Inflation Persistence Using a Smooth Transition Model
T his paper investigates the asymmetric behavior of inflation. We use logistic smooth transition autoregressive (LSTAR) model to characterize the regime-switching behavior of Iran’s monthly inflation during the period May 1990 to December 2013. We find that there is a triple relationship between the inflation level, its fluctuations and persistence. The findings imply that the behavi...
متن کاملHybrid inflation.
Usually inflation ends either by a slow rolling of the inflaton field, which gradually becomes faster and faster, or by a first-order phase transition. We describe a model where inflation ends in a different way, due to a very rapid rolling (‘waterfall’) of a scalar field σ triggered by another scalar field φ. This model looks as a hybrid of chaotic inflation with V (φ) = m φ 2 and the usual th...
